FAQs
Where do my classes take place?
All classes occur in your home. This is because your dog is most comfortable in his own home and can be himself without the added pressure of distractions in a new environment. Furthermore, any behaviors he may be displaying can be addressed directly where they occur—in your home. Depending on your goals, however, we may take field trips. This will be discussed and agreed upon ahead of time.
Do you offer group classes?
Group classes will be offered to current clients who have completed a basic in-home obedience course. The purpose of the classes will be for proofing behaviors under distraction. This sets your dog up for success as they have already learned the tasks in the home environment and can then work on focusing on you, rather than the other dogs, in a group environment.
Do you offer puppy classes?
Puppy classes are first offered as in-home courses instead of in a group environment. We will discuss how to socialize your puppy both before and after he has received all of his vaccinations. Once your puppy has learned the basics we will hold a group class for proofing.
Do you offer behavioral consultations?
While I am not a behaviorist, I am able to address minor behavioral issues. If any case falls outside of my purview I will refer it to a certified or veterinary behaviorist.
Do you travel?
Yes! Travel fees do apply for locations 15 miles outside of Clarksville, VA.
